WOMEN'S MISSIONARY UNION
Are you a Christian? Would you like to find out more about the work of Christian Ministries from within the United States? The WMU or Women's Missionary Union works from it's head quarters in Birmingham Alabama; it is an auxiliary of the Southern Baptist Convention. This Mission was founded in eighteen eighty eight and is still very active today trying to educate adults, youths and children about the mission of God. The WMU is a nonprofit organization that offers many ideas through conferences, successful ministry models and volunteer opportunities. They also offer training and literature to anyone interested in their work. The web site (link provided below) is well designed; it explains how the mission works and what their roll is. The women of CBC are involved in the WMU program. A meeting for the WMU program is held the first Wednesday on each month; the meeting begins at 6:30 PM. Currently the director of the WMU program here at Corinth Baptist Church is Marcy Whitworth and she can be reached by email at media@corinthchurch.com

CRISIS IN HAITI
The catastrophic earthquake that hit Haiti has left multitudes of hurting people in desperate need of basic necessities. Many people want to help but don't know how or what to do. Southern Baptist have a strong infrastructure built with Cooperative Program funds such as the Lottie Moon offering and other resources. Missionaries already in place are prepared to help in this time of need.
Through the International Mission Board, you can help suffering Haitians - physically and spiritually - right now and in the coming months. And you can do it with the assurance that as Haitians are helped, they will hear how God loves them and how they can have a personal relationship with Him.
